While I do have some things high five worthy this week, today I’d rather just like to ask everyone to keep my sister’s mother-in-law, and their entire family, in your thoughts and prayers.
things worthy of a high-fiver this week:
- i got this picture of my sil’s boyfriend “walking” my niece. it cracked me up.
2. my parents are in DC and the texted this picture of the cherry blossoms
3. my birthday was this week. i got some great gifts and the hubs did yoga with me
4. i finally spent my amazon gift card and ordered myself a kindle {lets share books!}
5. i had no cavities at the dentist!
what are you high-fiving this week?

The next wedding event was the Bridesmaids’ Luncheon at Terra Cotta.
{beth, hollie, meg & jenni}
{carolyn, memama, nana & me}
The Charm Cake
I had not heard of this before, but its apparently an old custom. {Read about it more here} Instead of a bundt cake, my sister did a red velvet cake.
We each pulled out a silver charm that had an inspirational word engraved on it.
I got the word “faith” which I took to mean that I should have faith in myself. I put it in my pocket this past week as I took the Bar Exam.

my sister & her fiance got married last weekend! Over the next few posts, I’m going to share some of the details and highlights
First Post is the Bachelorette Party. Cortlin & I threw a ”Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Themed Party after Em’s favorite movie.
{redacted version of the invitation}
{lanterns and flowy streamers and tulle}
{pearl strands were everywhere!}
{handmade “tiffany box” vases}
Everyone dressed up in black dresses and fancy jewelry. I really think she enjoyed it!
& it was wonderful for her to catch up with her best friends from elementary school, middle school, and high school! it was like they had never been apart!
